GOAL FOR OUR FALL 2024 CAMPAIGN: 1500 UNITS

Have gently used clothing that no longer serves you?
Give them a second life in the closet of another woman who will benefit from wearing them.

Ngozi's Story,
Dress for Success Calgary Client

As an international medical graduate, I have faced numerous challenges and obstacles since moving to Canada. However, amidst these trials, I have been fortunate to experience the incredible support and empowerment provided by Dress for Success Calgary. Their dedication to helping women thrive in both their personal and professional lives is truly remarkable.

My encounters with Dress for Success Calgary have been nothing short of transformative. Not only have they equipped me with the tools to dress for success, but they have also instilled in me a sense of self-assurance and resilience. Their kindness and support have given me the strength to overcome the challenges that come with being an immigrant woman in a new country.

Adi’s Story,
Dress for Success Calgary Client

Adi is very thankful for the Dress for Success Calgary program as she knows of the many challenges new immigrants face. “You can only bring so much with you” so decisions must be made about what to leave behind. Money needs to be maximized towards purchasing essentials and paying bills not new clothes. Adi believes that the Dress for Success Calgary experience was “part of a welcoming message” in coming to Calgary.

Amelia's Story,
Dress for Success Calgary Client

Born and raised in Albania, Amelia immigrated to Calgary along with her family in search of opportunities in Canada. They faced many challenges in settling down in Calgary, primarily in finding employment.

Amelia told us that the kindness and help of few acquaintances that helped get her bearings in a new country. She reached out to the CCIS program for newcomers and Bow Valley College to learn how to develop her resume and write a cover letter. Like many women in similar circumstances, Amelia couldn’t afford the professional wardrobe that she needed to go to networking events and interviews. She was referred by the agency to Dress for Success Calgary. On her first visit, she was incredibly touched by the kindness and patience shown by the stylist.
